Privacy Policy
Effective September 10, 2026 (replaces the August 14, 2026 version). This policy explains what information this website handles when you visit or use one of its forms, and what we deliberately do not collect.
The short version
- Contact, newsletter and volunteer forms on this site are delivered to program staff by email. They are handled by our hosting provider, Netlify, which stores a copy of each submission for the site owner. Use them for general questions — not for anything you would not put in an email.
- Payments and donations happen on PayPal and Givebutter. Card details never touch this website, even when a donation widget is shown inside one of our pages.
- Some pages embed other companies’ services — Microsoft Forms, Givebutter, Google Maps, and (on the Heritage House pages) a Tawk.to chat widget and Google Analytics. Each loads from that company’s servers under its own privacy policy.
- Client and participant records are never collected, stored, or transmitted through this website. Receiving services from any Alliance program does not involve this site.
- Calling our crisis lines is confidential under California Evidence Codes 1035 and 1037 — nothing about those calls touches this website.
Forms on this site
The contact forms on our Contact page (Mountain Crisis Services, Valley Crisis Center, Mariposa Heritage House), the Valley Crisis Center newsletter sign-up, and the Mariposa Heritage House volunteer application are processed by Netlify, the company that hosts this website. When you submit one, Netlify stores the submission (including any file you attach) and emails it to the program you chose. Submissions are screened for spam. We keep them only as long as needed to respond, and staff can delete them at any time. Netlify’s handling of this data is described in its privacy policy.
These forms are read during business hours, not around the clock. If you need help now, call the 24-hour crisis lines shown at the top of every page. Please do not describe a situation you would not want in an email; a phone call is confidential in ways a web form cannot be.
Valley Crisis Center’s volunteer interest, presentation request and event tabling forms are Microsoft Forms owned by the Alliance. Whether you open them in a new tab or fill them in where they are embedded on our pages, what you type goes to Microsoft’s servers and into the Alliance’s Microsoft 365 account — this website never receives it. Mariposa Heritage House’s class-fee payment form sends your class selection and the participant’s name directly to PayPal.
Embedded services
- Givebutter donation widgets (on Get Involved, CASA and Heritage House pages) — payment is completed inside Givebutter’s frame; see Givebutter’s privacy policy.
- Google Maps on program office cards — Google may set cookies and record that the map was loaded; see Google’s privacy policy.
- Tawk.to live chat on the Mariposa Heritage House pages only — the chat widget and any conversation you have in it are handled by Tawk.to on Heritage House’s account; see Tawk.to’s privacy policy. Chat is for questions about the drop-in center and its programs, not for crisis support — for that, call.
- Microsoft Forms embedded on Valley Crisis Center pages — see above.
Embedded content can set cookies from those companies. Blocking third-party cookies in your browser will not break this site; the embedded widgets may then ask you to open them in a new tab.
Website analytics (Google Analytics)
The Mariposa Heritage House section of this site uses Google Analytics, a service provided by Google LLC, to measure how those pages are used — which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive, the type of device and browser used, and approximate (city-level) location derived from your IP address, which is anonymized. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish visitors. We use this information only in aggregate, to understand what information people need and to improve the site. No other section of the site runs analytics.
Google processes this data on our behalf and may store it on servers in the United States. We do not use Analytics data to identify you, and we do not combine it with any other information. You can learn how Google handles this data at policies.google.com/privacy.
Opting out
- Install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Block or clear cookies in your browser settings, or browse in private/incognito mode.
- Enable your browser's tracking-protection features, which many browsers now turn on by default.
What we do not collect
This website has no user accounts, no intake or appointment forms, and no comment sections. Nothing about the services you receive from any Alliance program passes through this site. If you choose to call or email a program, that conversation happens off this website, directly with our staff — and for crisis services it is confidential under California law.
Links to other services
Pages on this site also link to outside services — for example Paylocity (job applications) and the Optima portal (CASA advocates). Each is governed by its own privacy policy.
A note for survivors
If someone may be monitoring your device, be aware that no website can hide itself from browsing history or from monitoring software on your device. Use the red Quick Exit button (or press Esc twice) to leave this site quickly, browse in private mode when you can, and consider using a safer device. See our internet safety guide, or call an advocate — the safest conversations happen by phone.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Questions? Contact the Alliance for Community Transformations at info@alliance4you.org or (209) 742‑6456, or write to PO Box 2075, Mariposa, CA 95338.
