Community Partner Referrals

We accept referrals from outside agencies for our services — by phone, in person, or by fax with our printable referral form.

Referring someone to our program

Valley Crisis Center is dedicated to being part of a violence free community. To that end, we work collaboratively with local agencies to provide services to victims and survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking in Merced County. As part of this dedication, we accept referrals from outside agencies for our services.

Do you work with community agencies and have someone you think would benefit from our services? If so, please see the methods below for ways to refer individuals to our program.

During the assessment, Valley Crisis Center advocates will determine if the potential client meets our basic requirements. If they do meet them, advocates will then schedule services if the client would like them. Our services are voluntary, and we are unable to require clients to attend specific services.

Our services are confidential. If you are referring someone to our program as part of their case plan, please be aware that we require a Release of Information from the client before we can confirm services with you. If the client declines to complete a release, we will not be able to communicate.

By Phone

If you believe someone you are working with could use our help, you can call us to refer them.

Simply call us at (209) 722‑4357 and provide us with:

  • Their name
  • A contact number and if it is safe to leave a message.
  • Language spoken
  • Services needed
  • A brief description of their intimate partner violence, sexual assault, or human trafficking situation.

In-Person

If you believe someone you are working with could use our help, we can do an in-person assessment in two ways:

  • At our Main Office
    • Print and complete the Referral to VCC form and give it to the potential client to bring to us.
    • You may also bring the client to our main office to be assessed for services as well.
  • Emergency 24 Hour Crisis Response
    • If you have an individual who recently experienced an intimate partner violence, sexual assault, or human trafficking incident and they are at your agency you can call and request an advocate to respond to your location to do an assessment.

By Fax

If you believe someone you are working with could use our help, you can fax the Referral To VCC Form.

Our fax number is (209) 725‑7908.
